Cornwall is one of the UK’s best destinations that offers a diverse landscape. You’ll find golden beaches with crystal clear water, rugged cliffs and rolling hills. Whether you enjoy watersports, exploring seaside towns or tackling coastal hikes, if you’re looking for somewhere that offers glamping in Cornwall with a hot tub, you can bet that it’s going to be pretty awesome around here.
In this guide, I’ll cover some key information about Cornwall like where it is in the UK and how you can get there. I’ll then let you know where you can find the best sites and split this out into glamping pods, cabins, safari tents, shepherd’s huts and unique accommodations. Additionally, I’ll cover the best luxury and romantic locations for those looking for an extra special trip away.
Where is Cornwall?
Cornwall is the most southern county in the UK. At the very top is Bude and Plymouth, and at the very bottom is Penzance.
Below is a map of Cornwall.
How to get to Cornwall
The best way to get to Cornwall from other areas of the UK is by car. More often than not, this is the quickest and cheapest way to travel, particularly if you’re heading here with a group of people.
If you need to rent a car, then I’d recommend Rentalcars.com. They’re a reputable platform that will scout out all of the best deals on the market to ensure you’re getting the best bang for your buck.
Alternatively, if you can’t or don’t want to drive, then it’s possible to get the train, but you can expect to pay quite a lot unless you have a railcard.
Below are some train timings from London to popular parts of Cornwall.
- London to Penzance: 5 hours
- London to Newquay: 5 hours
- London to Plymouth: 3 hours

Best time to go glamping in Cornwall
One of the best things about glamping is that you can go all year round and have an awesome time regardless of what the weather is doing.
Most glamping-style accommodation comes with a log burner and firepit to provide the ultimate cosy getaway, as well as sun loungers or hammocks for relaxing days in the sunshine.
If you’re someone who likes to explore the outdoors and swim in the sea, then May to September is going to be the best time to head to a glamping site in Cornwall.
On either side of this, you can expect there to be at least a few times when you’ll be cosied up by the fire.

Best cabins with a hot tub in Cornwall
The Little Cider House
The Little Cider House is a hand-crafted wooden cabin that’s been designed with comfort, quality and practicality at the forefront of the mind. It’s set in the stunning Fowey Valley in North Cornwall and manages to fit 2 adults, 3 children and a dog.
It’s compact yet uncompromising, with a king-sized bed for adults and a bunk-bed style room for the children – which, whilst cosy, provides the perfect den.
Whether you’re looking for a cosy and quiet break snuggled inside with under-floor heating and a log burner or you’re after some relaxation time in the hammocks, on the loungers or in the hot tub, The Little Cider House is one hard-to-beat if you’re taking the whole family on a glamping holiday.

Barney’s Carbin
Barney’s cabin is a little slice of heaven that sits within a peaceful wooded valley.
Whilst it’s secluded, it’s just a few minute’s drive to the pretty harbourside village of Porthleven where you can pick up the catch of the day to cook on your BBQ before you jump into the hot tub.
Inside this off-the-beaten-track cabin, there is nothing to compromise on.
You’ll find a luxurious king-sized bed, an ensuite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, underfloor heating, a log burner…the list goes on.
This dog-friendly modern cabin with hints of homely tradition is the perfect getaway, regardless of the time of year.
Popular spots nearby: Porthleven, Minack Theatre, Parc an Als Beach, St Michael’s Mount, Trebah Garden, Kynance Cove

Best glamping pods with a hot tub in Cornwall
Demelza
Situated between Lostwithiel and Liskeard is the stunning Damelza glamping pod.
It’s one of the best-equipped pods I’ve seen, with a miniature kitchen, lounge area, TV and private bathroom.
The exterior hosts a modern hot tub that can be enjoyed with awe-inspiring views over the rolling hills of the Cornish countryside as the sun sets. You’ll also find a BBQ and dining area so that you can cook up a storm after a full day of adventures.
Whether you’re heading here solo or as a duo, this rural and heavenly stay provides the perfect spot to switch off from the outside world whilst ensuring you don’t go without most of your creature comforts!
Popular spots nearby: Polperro, Charlestown, Looe, Lostwithiel, Liskeard, Restormel Castle, Lanhydrock, Cardinham Woods

Mount Lookout
The Mount Lookout glamping pod is very similar to the layout of Demelza, however, the sofa transforms into a double bed, meaning this pod caters to 4 people.
Although it’s a little more of a squeeze, it still feels spacious and acts as the perfect base for a glamping-style holiday to Cornwall.
In fact, if you prefer to be closer to the coast, then this may be your preferred option since you’re just a few moments from Long Rock Beach.
Whether you enjoy splashing around in the waves or simply enjoying the views out to sea, Mount Lookout is a fantastic choice.

Best shepherds huts with a hot tub in Cornwall
Mount View Retreat
Mount View Retreat is situated a few miles from Penzance and has bagged a prime position overlooking the Cornish coastline and the well-photographed St Michaels Mount – a small island with a castle.
The inside of this shepherd’s hut is stunning, with a cream and tartan interior, a log burner, kitchenette and bathroom – it’s the perfect home away from home.
It’s also been cleverly designed for groups of up to 4 people, as the second sofa transforms into a bunk bed if needed. There is also additional space for a cot if required.
Whilst this place may look small from the outside, it certainly manages to pack a lot in whilst still remaining spacious.
On the outside, you’ll find deck chairs for admiring the seaside views, a firepit for those campsite story nights and a hot tub which is perfect after a long day exploring all that’s on offer in this part of Cornwall.
Aside from the number of things to do in Penzance, it’s also worth checking out the below.

The Enchanted Wardrobe
The Enchanted Wardrobe is as magical as it sounds – from the picturesque location to the shepherd’s hut itself.
Unbelievably, this hand-crafted creation caters for 2 adults, 3 children, a dog and a cot.
Yet, the on-site owners of The Enchanted Wardrobe have not allowed this to compromise the quality or space.
They’ve built the children’s beds as triple bunk beds which cross over each other neatly at the end of the hut.
Somehow they’ve also managed to squeeze in a king-sized bed for adults with a wall-sized window at the bottom so that guests can enjoy countryside views from the moment they open their eyes.
You’ll find all of the usual amenities here, such as a log burner, ensuite shower room, kitchen, firepit, dining area and of course, a hot tub. However, an added extra which you don’t often find is the friendly farm animals.
This perfect family-focused space has its own private patio, yet shares a field with 2 other shepherds’ huts.
For those looking to extend the invite to family or friends, all three huts can be booked as a group.
Overall, if you’re looking to take the family glamping in Cornwall with a hot tub, then this is a pretty good choice.

Best safari tents with a hot tub in Cornwall
Lamorna Cove Bluebell Safari Tent
Lamorna Cove is situated in the peaceful Lamorna Valley in southwest Cornwall.
It’s a spacious safari tent that comes equipped with all of your home comforts such as wooden flooring, a full-sized oven, a dining table, a log burner and a bathroom. In fact, if it wasn’t for the tent walls, then it could be mistaken for a lodge.
For extended breaks, you’ll even find a handy laundry room with a washing machine and tumble drier, as well as a shop.
This pet-friendly glamping holiday in Cornwall offers a large decking area where BBQs can be enjoyed in between relaxing on the loungers and in the hot tub.
For those who enjoy activities, you won’t need to go far as Lamorna Cove has an on-site games room as well as a cinema.
The friendly owner of this glamping site also has plenty of animals roaming around, including some gorgeous Shetland ponies.
Popular spots nearby: Clifftop Minack Theatre, Porthcurno Beach, Land’s End, Sennen Cove, Penzance, St Michael’s Mount (one of the best castles in Cornwall)
Mount View Sunrise Safari Tent
Mount View Sunrise Safari Tent is in the same location as one of my recommended shepherd’s huts, however, this location is just too good not to recommend for a second time with an alternative style of glamping.
Much like the shepherd’s hut, it’s in a prime location with views of Mount St Michael and the Cornish coastline and has a shop, playground and laundry facilities.
Inside the tent, you’ll find wooden flooring, a large kitchen space with a dining table and lounge.
The bathroom and beds are just as good as those back home, yet it’s the outside space that will impress.
You’ll find a large decking area which has been beautifully decorated with flowers and holds a built-in hot tub and lounge area. On your own private pitch, you’ll also have deck chairs, hammocks, a fire pit and an outdoor dining set.
Popular spots nearby: Sennen Cove, Gwithian and Porthcurno for surfing, St Ives, Mousehole, Isles of Scilly
